Alison is a client focused occupational therapist helping children, families and schools in London and the Home Counties. She is experienced in working with both state and independent schools and often provides inset training.
Alison has a Biochemistry degree from the University of Oxford and an Occupational Therapy degree from Oxford Brookes where she was awarded the highest first in her year. She has experience in rehabilitation, forensic mental health and paediatrics and has chosen to specialise in working with children.
Alison enjoys working with children with a range of developmental, motor and behavioural challenges. Some may not have any form of diagnosis. Others may have one or more of the following:
Alison places an emphasis on evidence-based treatment and goal attainment, ensuring that the views of the child and family are at the centre of her treatment. An empathetic, educative and supportive approach enables parents and children to progress together outside of OT treatment.
